📄 Police Department Permits & Forms
Online Police Forms (Frontline PSS)
The following requests can be submitted online through the City’s Police Services Portal:
- Over Night Parking Request — Provide vehicle details and parking location to avoid citation.
- Vacation Watch Request — Submit travel dates so officers may check your property.
- Keyholder Registration — Update emergency contact information for alarms or incidents.
Temporary Road Closure Permit
A Temporary Road Closure Permit is required to close a city street for an event. There is a $5/day fee.
- Closures allowed from dawn to dusk
- Approval from all affected neighbors required
- Applications due at least 2 weeks prior
Sound Amplifier License
A Sound Amplifier License is required for amplified sound audible over public areas.
- $15/day for residents
- $50/day for businesses
- No fee for non-profit organizations
Solicitor Permit
For-Profit Application | Not-for-Profit Application
A Solicitor Permit is required before engaging in solicitation or transient retail sales.
- $30/day or $140/year (up to 5 solicitors)
- $30 for each additional solicitor
- Fingerprinting required
- Insurance certificate or bond required

Citizen Complaints
Complaints must be notarized and submitted to the Zion Police Department. A notary is available Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM.
Freedom of Information Act (FOIA)
- Requests must be submitted in writing
- Responses within 5 business days (21 for commercial)
- No fee for first 50 pages; $0.15/page thereafter
- Large format copies charged at reproduction cost
Records will be provided in the requested medium whenever possible.
