City of Zion Fire Department Station

NEW FIRE AND RESCUE STATION

Zion Fire & Rescue Station 2 construction, currently underway at 3505 IL Route 173, will replace the current Station 2 that sits at 2016 Lewis Avenue. Current Station 2 has served our community faithfully for over 50 years, but has become too small for our fire/EMS department’s growing needs and will be positioned well to help cover the City’s expanding west side.  Current Station 2 also requires costly and ongoing maintenance needs, which have become unsustainable.

New Station 2 will be approximately 16,000 square feet and will be a functional and modern fire/EMS station serving the City for decades to come. Ground was officially broken November 4, and construction began immediately. The project is expected to be completed in 12-14 months.New City of Zion Fire and Rescue Station 2 illustrationGroundbreaking of the new Zion Fire & Rescue Station 2 by City Officials
