Stadium Groundbreaking To Be Re-Scheduled

The City of Zion will be re-scheduling the November 5th groundbreaking ceremony
for the new 8,000- seat Northern League baseball stadium project in Zion, IL
to a later date due to recent changes in the infrastructure delivery schedule.

The project involves the installation of additional utility services to the expanding
Trumpet Business Park, including a new water main loop along Greenbay Road
at the entrance to the new ballpark. The City, the developers, and the baseball team
all remain optimistic that capital funding of the public improvements will be forthcoming,
and are proceeding with final design and preparation in anticipation of the 2010 season.
