Headline Developments

Spring 2008

  • Super Wal-Mart is coming to the NW corner of Route 173 and Kenosha Road.  Construction began in April 2007 with opening day planned for
    June 11, 2008.  The project will provide nearly 450 full and part time jobs
    as well as convenient, value oriented shopping options for our residents and annual visitors. See rendering
  • Market Square is a stunning mixed used project planned for the entire 2700 block of Sheridan Road in downtown Zion.  Featuring a 70-room flagship hotel, restaurant, retail and private condominiums, the multi-million dollar architectural jewel is set to break ground in 2008.  Information on leasing and sales will be available later this summer.

  • Trumpet Park is a first class business park development identified with Route 173 on the south, Greenbay Road on the east, Russel(Stateline) Road on the north and the Union Pacific Railway to the west.  Over 1,000 acres of prime location and available for development through the City of Zion and our partners Lee & Associates and Panattoni Development.  Tenants already include FedEx, Calpine Energy, Kramer’s Kampers, North Shore Sanitary District and LaFarge Industries.  For more information please contact Rick DeLisle at (847) 812-8180.  Download a color brochure in PDF format.

  • Great Lakes Crossing - Zion is in a strong growth mode from both a residential and commercial standpoint. With 5,500+ housing units planned, an invigorating downtown revitalization underway, Zion is on the move!
    ASuper Wal-Mart is locating just east of Great Lakes Crossing. Trumpet Park, a 1,000 acre Class A Industrial development, is being developed just North of Great Lakes Crossing. It is projected to create over 5,000,000 S.F. of new space and 5,000 jobs for this corridor. Great Lakes Crossings

  • Barton Management Senior Residences is an assisted living development in the 3500 block of Sheridan Road.  The 130-unit complex will offer 24-hour nursing services, psa, on-site library, recreation, courtyard gardening and all the amenities associated with a first class private senior center.  The secret is that Barton is designed to serve seniors on a fixed income that would never have access to this level of care and luxury.  The project is underwritten through IDHA and Zion is one of only two such facilities in the state.  For more information please contact Debbie Lewis at (847) 872-1500.

  • Family Video is now open at their new location in Zion.
    Come visit them at 33rd and Sheridan Roads.
  • FedEx Regional Distribution Center in Trumpet Park officially opened in February 2007.  The site will serve as the regional hub for southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois providing nearly 150 new jobs for the local communities. (Picture)
