Mike McDowell
BIO

Family: Married to Donna since 1980. We have three adult children, Daniel, married to Erin (and granddaughter, Zaiah) Jennifer and David.

Education: 1978 ZBTHS graduate. Diploma, Moody Bible Institute; BBE, Western Bible College; MA, Dallas Theological Seminary; Ph. D. Oxford Graduate School

Employment: Mission Pastor at Christ Community Church in Zion since 2000. Prior to this we spent 14 years in Asia serving with The Evangelical Alliance Mission in Indonesia and the Philippines.

Residence: In our mission career we have moved residences about 25 times. You lose track after a while. Since 2000 we have lived in Zion.

Interests:

Professional: I continue my love for teaching as adjunct faculty at Asian Theological Seminary in Manila and Moody Graduate School in Chicago. I am a board member for the Zion Evangelical Ministries of Africa, a mission agency focused on ministry to millions of people in Southern Africa who trace their spiritual heritage back to Christ Community Church and Zion, Illinois.

Civic: I am a member of the CREW Board in Zion and on the Coalition for Healthy Communities. I am also a Commissioner on the Zion Park District Board.

Personal: I enjoy golfing and am a PADI Certified Dive Master.
