The Zion Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the Mayor’s Annual Dinner next week and the theme is certainly timely, ‘Supporting Our Communities, Strengthening Our Ties’. We need to pull together to pull through as the economy continues to hobble towards eventual recovery.
And it will come. Professionals are predicting 2010 will see real signs of improvement. According to the Urban Land Institute report, Emerging Trends in Real Estate 2010, “Despite this enveloping gloom and the dramatic fallout from the unprecedented early 2000’s credit binge, 2010 and 2011 could be the opportunity of a lifetime, a limited window to cash in on one of the best acquisition environments ever.”
The Chamber event will be held on November 18th, 2009 at the Thunderhawk Golf Clubhouse on Lewis Avenue. The program will center on local opportunities for businesses to maximize their limited resources and emerge stronger for the current market experiences. Banding together for the common good, pulling in the same direction, giving back and giving forward; these ideas that will be shared throughout the evening and hopefully inspire a few new ones.
