Farmer's Market Bingo Winners!

Isn't it wonderful when something you enjoy can stay fresh and new? Well, that is how we feel about the Zion Farmer's Market with a new theme every week.  From Marina Days and Free Bingo to Ridin' the Rails and The Great Pumpkin there's something for everyone in downtown Zion.

Look for themed trivia games, entertainment, music and even specialty treats from one of Zion's oldest family businesses, The Cake Box.  Check out hand made jewlery, artwork and gourmet foods.  You'll find bargains and rare finds, great food, old friends and a few surprises, but always you'll find yourself enjoying your own hometown on a gentle summer's day.

Zion Farmers Market Bingo Winners
(Left To Right) Sharon Ingalls, Adam Turner, Betty Revoy, and Veronica Turner

Last week offered Free Bingo to all comers and we are pleased to announce the winners were Sharon Ingalls, Adam Turner, Betty Revoy and Veronica Turner.  They won prizes provided by several of our local businesses who are part of our county wide promotion, Summer Spaces.  If you would like to enjoy some of the same savings, just visit www.summerspaces.com and see more than thirty coupons that offer discounts, free services and opportunities to enjoy all the city has to offer in food, recreation and attractions.

This week's theme is Mini Ravinia, our very own musical tribute to the area's finest talent.  Come by to enjoy some of the finest musicians and vocalists associated with the Zion Conservatory of Music.  Instructors and their students will be entertaining the crowds from 2:00 - 7:00, free of charge at the heart of the Market.  Learn about the many programs offered at the Conservatory and simply appreciate you aren't fighting traffic and paying for lawn seats at Ravinia!

Thank you to all of our vendors, supporters, shoppers, winners and entertainers who make the Zion Farmer's Market unique and inviting.  We'd also like to acknowledge the Zion Park District who welcomes our market to the boulevard and supports our efforts to bring more people into the downtown area to enjoy all its amenities and variety.

As the program grows each year we invite your comments and ideas for new themes.  Please check out the remaining themes for this season and send us your ideas at www.cityofzion.com.  We hope you will join us this Thursday and every Thursday through October 2nd from 2:00 - 7:00 along Shiloh Boulevard (25th & Sheridan).  See you there where you'll see for yourself that Zion is the place to 'bee'!
