Spring Has Sprung!

Ferris WheelMarket DaysIt may not feel like it everyday, but little by little the warmer weather is coming until soon spring will be almost summer.  If you are familiar with some of the events we celebrate as winter fades you might want to get involved this year.

The Farmer’s Market will return on June 19th and we’re accepting applications now for vendors.  We welcome home grown fruits and vegetables as well as prepared foods such as jams and honey.  Arts and crafts include oil paintings, jewelry, flower arrangements, candles and handmade soaps and notions.

The Market offers a new theme each week with trivia questions, music and games for young and not so young visitors.  The Market returns for every Thursday from June through the first part of October from 2:00 – 7:00 at the corner of Sheridan and 25th Street.  If you are interested in having a booth please contact the Department of Economic Development at (847) 746-4015.
