Zion's Calendar Girl
If you live in Zion, you have probably received your 2010 City of Zion Calendar in the mail by now and are putting it to good use. But did you ever stop and wonder, “Where did they get those cool pictures?” Well, you can thank Ms. Katrina Anderson’s Marketing class at Zion Benton Township High School for that!
With so many projects in the works for the beautiful City of Zion, such as Market Square, which has begun work at the corner of 28th and Sheridan Road, the Lake County Fielders Stadium project located out west, the coming of Advanced Auto Parts located at the corner of Route 173 and Sheridan Road just to name a few, the Office of Economic Development reached out to Ms. Anderson through a Business Partnership meeting held at New Tech High School for her help in selecting images for the 2010 calendar.
All of Ms. Anderson’s students in her Marketing class did a fantastic job, finding pictures and images related to baseball, but the images that Jessica Konsewicz found, really captured the essence and innocence of what dreams are made of and what they can become in the photos she selected for the months of January, March, October and November.
In showing our appreciation, Mayor Lane Harrison and the Zion City Council, along with the Office of Economic Development thanked Jessica Konsewicz, her parents and Ms. Katrina Anderson for their contributions in making the 2010 City of Zion Calendar one of the best calendars so far.
