We are here in the beautiful City of Zion! The Farmer’s Market is already getting prepared for the best year yet in its new location at 25th and Sheridan.
The bouldvard will soon be filled again with fruit and vegetable stands as well
as crafts, artwork and restaurant vendors.
If you’ve been to the market you know that we’ve added live entertainment, contests, raffles and fun for visitors,
not young and young-at-heart. From karaoke to trivia, every week will have a new and exciting theme every week. For 2008 we’re even throwing a Happy Birthday Party for Zion on July 10th!
Of course we will bring back B-I-N-G-O, one of the most popular themes we’ve enjoyed. There will be Hawaiian Day, Riding the Rails with free train rides, Race Days with the Annual Chamber Golf Cart Race Classic! You won’t want to miss Winter Wonderland with ice skating…really! Look for Homecoming or Marina Days and Mini Ravinia Fest with live local talents performing jazz to gospel and classical. Every week includes giveaways and prizes featuring gift certificates to
local businesses.
The Farmer’s Market is open every Thursday from
2:00 – 7:00 beginning June 19th and ending October 2.
If you would like to be one of our vendors you can print out an application at www.cityofzion.com and return it via fax at (847) 746-7167 or mail to Zion City Hall, Department of Economic Development, 2828 Sheridan Road,
Zion, IL 60099. Or if you’re in the area please feel free to stop by our office in person. There is a $50 participation fee per vendor for the entire season.
These funds are used to promote the Market throughout the area with radio advertising, print, web and direct mail information.
We always have a wonderful time hosting the Farmer’s Market and are looking forward to seeing old friends again and making a few new ones. Summer will soon be here…really it will! Come ride the Beeline Trolley, enjoy all the attractions from
the beaches and golf to shopping and the Market. It’s time for summertime fun
right here in downtown Zion, a Great Place to Bee!
